her real name is Isuzu but Rin is for short (Isuzu means bell and rin is the sound of the bell {ring})
Rin Sohma, the horse. Rin is the kind of girl who loves black. She was beaten and abandoned by her parents just for asking two questions: "Are you really happy?" "Do you really love me?" After that it was all over, Haru was there and tried to protect her but was to small, later on Rin and Haru fell in love, Akito found out and pushed her out of a 2 story window, ever since then she had to promise not to tell Haru about what happened she broke up with him so he wouldn't get hurt by Akito. She has been trying to brake the curse. She hates people touching her and she lives with Kagura and her mother.

If you go the anime website, the cast of characters give such info....though Akito's age is somehow unsure...0-o;;

that's just sick of what happened to rin at her early childhood! Why aould her parents do something so despeicable like that to her?! I read volume 14 and I couldn't help but feel soooo bad for Rin  I'm so not sure who has it worse in family life, Yuki, Akito or Rin?
